Juventus v Milan: Will they play in the Champions League?

04/10/18 05:05:23 Juventus are expected to take on Milan in the Coppa Italia next weekend, as they look to win their fourth consecutive Serie A title.
The Bianconeri were last season’s runners-up and have never been beaten at the San Siro.
However, they will be without a win since the 2014-15 campaign, losing to Roma in the quarter-finals.
However they are looking to avoid a repeat of their previous form in this fixture, when they were defeated 4-0 in the league.
“We need to be confident.
We want to show our supporters what we can do.
We know that we are capable of winning games,” said Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri.
“It’s a difficult challenge and it will be difficult to score a lot of goals, but we have to keep working and we’ll see.”
Milan have been without a manager since Roberto Mancini, who was sacked in October 2015 after a disappointing season.
They have also lost their two previous Champions League ties, with the first meeting against Juventus last season having been a 0-0 draw.
The second match, played at the Stadio Olimpico, will be a second-leg, with Juventus looking to rebound after a 2-0 loss to Napoli on aggregate in 2017.
“The first game will be the most important.
It will give us a chance to show what we are made of,” said Allegri, who is hoping to have his squad in good shape.
“This is an important game, with a lot on the line.
We have to be ready.
The result will be crucial.
We need to show a lot more intensity and try to make a difference.
We can be confident, because we know we have a big game coming up.”
Inter Milan are also looking to end their Serie A drought, having not won a game since March 2016.
“In this situation we have two tough games to play.
We’ll see if we can win.
There’s a chance we’ll be able to score.
It’s important to win a game against one of the best teams in the world, who we know has all the qualities to do so,” said midfielder Gianluigi Buffon.
“There are lots of teams we can beat, but Inter are the only one who can beat us.
They’re a very difficult team, but they have some great players, so I expect a lot from them.”
Milan are looking for their second consecutive win in the game, after losing 4-1 to Napoleonic champions Juventus in Serie A in January 2017.
