CoX is an Internet Exchange Program that connects Internet service providers to internet service providers.
In addition to offering data speeds of at least 50Mbps, CoX provides speeds of up to 100Mbps for certain areas.
CoZNet is a system of routers and switches that provide Internet service in the Cincinnati area.
CozNet is also used to provide service in many other cities.
The Cincinnati Bell outage affects CoX customers in three markets: Hamilton County, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
Coxtel customers in Hamilton County and Cincinnati are being impacted, and CoX internet service is not currently available in Columbus.
Cincinnati Bell did not immediately respond to Ars’ request for comment.
