AT&T and Directv are teaming up to keep people connected online, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The wireless internet giant and the video service company are both working to streamline their internet services for consumers by implementing the same rules as cable and satellite providers.
DirecTV is also expanding its service in the same way, though not in the way that AT&t and Comcast are.
In an article published Tuesday, the Journal reports that DirecTv has announced it is rolling out a new video service dubbed “DiretTV” that will offer “unlimited Internet and mobile services.”
The service, which will be available to customers of DirecV, will be launched on Wednesday, according a statement from the company.
DirecTelevision will allow customers to access the internet, access data, and access content.
The service will include “a high-speed internet connection, streaming video, video apps and a variety of content and apps,” according to a Direc TV spokesperson.
DirescTV also said it will offer a new smartphone app to stream content, which is also included in the service.
